On May 7, 2025, leaders, patients, caregivers, and advocates gathered at the historic Decatur House in Washington DC for the Together for Supportive Cancer Care Summit. The event was a full day of connection and collaboration, focusing on making supportive care the standard for cancer patients nationwide. To help capture the heart of the summit, we provided an interactive way for guests to share their voices.
Key Results

The Objective
The client wanted to strengthen brand awareness, encourage engagement, and collect meaningful stories from attendees. This meant giving guests a simple way to share their perspective on supportive cancer care, whether they were patients, healthcare providers, or policy leaders.
The Concept
We built a self-service storytelling station where guests could choose from nine prompts, each designed to inspire thoughtful, personal responses. The approach was fully flexible so attendees could participate on their own time without disrupting the summit flow.
Design & Set Up
The station featured a custom branded backdrop to reinforce the summit’s visual identity. A specialized microphone was mounted directly to the booth to overcome the challenge of a busy, noisy venue.
To streamline participation, we integrated a digital waiver into the process, allowing guests to sign, acknowledge, or opt out before recording. This replaced the client’s initial paper waiver approach, making the experience smoother and faster.

Outcomes That Matter
Across the day, 45 photos and videos were captured, resulting in over 130 shares of content. These testimonials captured an authentic range of perspectives, from patients’ lived experiences to policymakers’ calls to action. For the client, this became a ready-to-use content library for advocacy, fundraising, and education.
Takeaways for Future Events
Even in a busy, loud environment, thoughtful technical planning can produce high-quality audio and video. Digital waivers not only speed up participation but also ensure clear consent management. Offering multiple prompts gives guests more ways to connect with the event’s mission.
